NBA Scouting

Below is a scouting report from the 2002 NBA draft written by Andy Katz. Brandon Roy was considering going straight from high school to the NBA because he was academically ineligible, but ended up going to college at Washington. In 2006 Roy won the NBA Rookie of the Year. He is currently the best player on one of the hottest teams in the NBA. Just another example of how player scouting is such an inexact science.

Brandon Roy
High School: Garfield (Seattle, Wash.) | Ht: 6-6
2001-02 Stats: 22.9 ppg | 10.4 rpg
Andy Katz’s take: Once again a high school player is choosing to go for the NBA instead of sitting out if he’s not eligible. Roy is a reach to be a dominant player at Washington and wouldn’t even be the first option on a team that has Doug Wrenn. The NBA? Please. Roy should be in JC if anything.

How about darko getting drafted ahead of wade? Imagine that Pistons squad with wade on it…..
