Fred Wilson's Posts and the Need for a Redesign of the Tumblr Dashboard
I subscribe to Fred Wilson’s feed. Fred is in Australia for the holidays and is microblogging the entire time. At first I thought this was kind of cool but now I think its annoying. Its not that I dont like his posts - there are just too many of them and its impacting my tumblr user experience. Fred’s posts are simply taking up too much real estate on the dashboard homepage which makes it harder for me to keep up with the other people that I follow. Just like with google search results, I dont want to go into page 2 of the dashboard.
Is there anyway to incorporate some google reader type functionality to tumblr? Basically, indicate visually if forearmshiver has posted something new and I havent read it yet. This way I can be sure that I am keeping up with all of the content being posted by the people I follow.
